TORONTO, April 19, 2023 -- Water Ambassadors Canada announced it will host a fundraising event, The Wet Gala on April 26, 2023, at the El Mocambo.

Alongside esteemed partners, Water Ambassadors Canada is holding this unique event to highlight the issue of water accessibility in developing countries and raise funds for its water projects. The event itself, The Wet Gala, a spin on the Met Gala in New York, will be held under the legendary neon palms of the El Mocambo.

Over 500 of Toronto’s most influential guests will walk the blue carpet in their black tie and leather attire, delight in gourmet eats from the McEwan Catering, while enjoying live entertainment including a silent auction and a live fashion show, with all proceeds going directly to the cause.

"Access to clean water is a fundamental human right,” said Brian Johns, CEO of the Water Ambassadors Canada. “The Wet Gala is a great opportunity to celebrate fashion while supporting our work to provide people around the world with reliable access to safe drinking water.”

One of the evening’s highlights, a fashion show curated by Erika Larva from Monarch Events Group and MT Meikle from La Closette will showcase pieces from Revelle, King and Bay, and several more Canadian stores and designers.

The Wet Gala is open to the public, and tickets are now available for purchase online. Don't miss out on this unique night of fashion, fun and philanthropy. All proceeds from the event will go towards Water Ambassadors Canada's mission to provide clean water to communities in need around the world.
